Born of God with Kurtis Luckinbill

2024 January 14th Streaming

Born of God’ may very well be the three most important words in the bible. They are the cornerstone to the mystery of God, and within them lies our union, oneness, and identity with God, the Father. They define God’s purpose, intent, and plan from before the foundation of time. For He chose us in Him before the world’s creation to be holy and blameless in his sight. Outside of spiritual new birth lies man-made religion and their feeble attempts to make a better mankind. Ephesians chapter one will encounter two controversial subjects in the church today – spiritual birth versus adoption and whether revelation is still relevant.

The Alpha and Omega with Kurtis Luckinbill

2023 December 10th Streaming

Many in the church today have reduced God to a formula, and Christ to a means to an end. Whether the end is happiness, success, ministry, good health, favor, a happy family, political power, or salvation from Hell, Christ has become the means by which we achieve that end. If the end is good and moral, how can the means not be justified? Our relative definition of a good end has justified greed, ambition, and even here in America – Christian Nationalism – and all in the name of God. It doesn’t matter how mature you are or how pious you have become; Jesus is not the means to an end. He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega. But what does all this mean? Let’s discuss this Sunday morning.

Identity – What Satan Will Never Let You Know with Kurtis Luckinbill

2023 October 22nd Streaming

According to the Oxford Dictionary, identity is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is. Think about that, the fact of ‘being’. Being is defined as the nature or essence of a person. Therefore, identity is the nature or essence of who a person is. I want to discuss the two things Satan does not want you to know, and both have to do with denying human beings from finding their true spiritual essence – their true, predestined spiritual identity. Join me on Sunday and let’s talk about it.

Intimacy With God with Kurtis Luckinbill

2023 September 10th Streaming

As I have read Philippians chapter four over the last days and weeks, one thought continually comes to mind – intimacy with God, the Father. To use the phrase spiritual intimacy dares to make it too abstract and not personal enough. Our intimacy with God does not exist in thought or idea, but it is concrete in existence. Our experience of God’s closeness is not a description of his actual proximity to us but of our experience of intimacy with him. Scripture shows us that God is intimate with those who trust him. The more we trust God, the more intimately we come to know him. Likewise, the more intimate we are with God, the more we trust Him. Intimacy is simply what we call the experience of really knowing and being

Philippians Chapter 3 – Don’t Look Back with Kurtis Luckinbill

2023 August 6th Streaming

Throughout life, every person has built both a personal and professional resume. Over time we realize our strengths and skills and we learn to build upon them. Why, because our strengths lead to our success in this world. To some, being a victim is their strength; to others, their advantage may lie in the color of their skin. Many have built their success by using their family name and their pedigree. What would a resume be if it weren’t a list of our accomplishments and qualifications? But, what if our resumes were our greatest enemy? I trust you will join me to hear the answer to these questions found in Philippians Chapter 3.

Spiritual Sons – The Conduits of God with Kurtis Luckinbill

2023 July 9th Streaming

As our brother David has said, being a spiritual Son is living from the inside out. But it is impossible to live from a spiritual identity that we do not realize. The spiritually born-again live double-minded lives because they neither know who they are nor their purpose.

One of the hardest things to do in life is to be single-minded; or as Meriam-Webster states, having one driving purpose. As spiritual Sons of God, we are constantly challenged to live outwardly a life that is true to our inner man’s spiritual identity. This is what Philippians chapter 2 is about – having the mind of Christ – the mind of the spiritual Son. But it really is beyond that. Paul is telling those in the church in Philippi what being single-minded and having the mind of the spiritual Son looks like.

The Outworking of the Gospel, the In-working of Sonship with Kurtis Luckinbill

2023 June 4th Streaming

Paul’s letter to the church in Philippi does not open with a statement of defense of his apostleship. This letter is from a father to a son. As Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel”. The Philippians loved Paul and embraced his apostolic authority. Furthermore, the church in Philippi was partakers with Paul in sharing the gospel. Philippians is a missionary thank-you letter in which the missionary reports on his work’s progress and continues to unveil the mystery of sonship.

Colossians Chapter Four – And Now You Know the Rest of the Story with Kurtis Luckinbill

2023 April 30th Streaming

I will continue our tag-team teaching through the letter to the Colossians chapter 4. I want to spend this time together to look at the three churches of the Lycus Valley in what is today’s modern Turkey. Understanding the history, culture, and biblical context of these three cities will give you not only a better understanding of Paul’s letter to the Church of Colossae but also of the churches in Hierapolis and Laodicea as mentioned by Paul in Colossians 4:13. I will conclude with Christ’s rebuke to the church in Laodicea as seen in Revelation chapter 3.

Does God Give Second Chances? with Kurtis Luckinbill

2023 April 2nd Streaming

This Sunday morning, I will continue the tag-team teaching of Colossians chapter three. I want to propose a question that most of you have never given much thought to. Does God give second chances? We live in a world of second chances: or as Merriam-Webster defines it – the opportunity to try something again after failing the first time. Articles and books are written about them. Churches and ministries are named after them, but does God really give second chances? Join me this Sunday morning as we answer that question and explore the depths of Colossians chapter three.
