Christ Identity: Union, Oneness and Image God Provides

We have discussed Identity: It’s  weakness, Illusion and Strength, followed by Identity Crisis: Fears, Illusions, Captivity and Absolutes.  This week in fellowship we’ll talk about Christ Identity: Union, Oneness, and Image God Provides.  We will talk about the meaning and purpose of identification, identify, identity and image of true self expression. The struggle many are having today with identity (that would include Christ identity), is they receive and learn identity from the outside inward.  When this is the source of your identity and person-hood, then everything you are is passing away.
        
        1Co 7:31 and those who use this world as not misusing [it]. For the form of this world is passing away.
        
        1Co 2:6 Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away;
 
What then makes identity so important or even critical? It is in identity where true personhood is expressed.  It is true self-expression! Weather in the Spirit or in the flesh. Biology identity or Spiritual (Christ) identity is a result of union and oneness. God has provided an two images for humankind.  One that’s created by Him and one birthed by Him.  Let’s talk about it…

 

IDENTITY: Fears, Deceptions and Absolutes

In Sunday Fellowship last week we talked about IDENTITY: It’s weakness, Illusion and Strength.  Well, this week we’ll looking at IDENTITY CRISIS: Fears, Deceptions and Absolutes.  The identity crisis in the world today is no respecter of person. The non-believer as well as many professing believers in Christ share the same fears, deceptions and absolutes concerning the current identity crisis!  Satan (the spirit of fear) takes anyone and everyone who have not come to know their absolute identity.  But why?  Simple, sensitization to the person they are in the outer man or woman (box-suitcase) identity.  You know the one which is passing away.  While, at the same time being desensitized to the person of Christ and their new identity as another person, the Son of God!  So, what does all this look like in the current world view?  Let’s talk about it…

“The message with David Griffin was also an eye opener for me. You touched on the issues which are a big struggle for me as a ‘son’ because I have looked also at the numbers of years I have lived and from the time I wake up in the morning I see the affinity I have developed with the suitcase and the box.”

“When David (Griffin) said he owes nothing to the flesh, I saw the issues I struggle with day after day. They emanate from the suitcase/box pulls and I see myself in a state of defeat. I was praying that the Lord helps in eradicating all the rubbish in the suitcase so that I don’t fulfill the desires of the Box.”

How many of you have similar struggles with your IOU of box-suitcase thinking and theology?  I’m trusting the Father that each of you will come to see just how desensitized you are to the person of Christ as 2018 moves along.  You would think with all the preaching and teaching about the Bible on radio and TV, that only a few would have an occasion to fall into the process of desensitization brought by the spirit of fear.  Remember, when we’re being desensitized, we are simultaneously being sensitized to something else. Our answer to desensitization is the revelation of Christ in true Spiritual union, oneness and identity from our heavenly Father!  The necessity of each of us receiving a revelation of Christ, as a new creation or living as another person, while living in our current bodies as the Son of God is the great escape. The end of the identity struggle!  For the first time we can know and understand what it means to be a completed person! The IOU of Son-ship takes us to a whole new depth and place in the Father!

What a wonderful and precious Word concerning the Father and His Son revelation.  For the first time we have the knowledge and ability to walk away from the two-person gospel which has desensitized far too many of us over the years!  I trust the Father each of you will make the only decision – just walk away from your illusion of the box-suitcase identity, supported and influenced by desensitization and the two-person gospel.  This is the gospel most of us have unknowingly brought into!  Again, the revelation of Christ is the key component in Son-ship.  But there are several things the revelation of Christ is not and cannot do for any believer. What is that? And, why can’t it?   Let’s talk about it…

I’m trusting the Father that many will come to see just how desensitized they are to the person of Christ in 2018. You would think with all the preaching and teaching about the Bible on radio and TV, only a few would fall into the process of desensitization by the Spirit of fear. Fear’s illusions, deceptions, captivity and delusional thinking have trapped far too many in their box-suitcase union, oneness and identity. It’s here knocking at our door. If you’re not ready yet just don’t answer the door. It will go away very shortly. You know, here today and gone tomorrow! Hey, maybe you need to become “bulletproof” to Christmas down motivation pulls! But what does that look like? Can anyone or everyone live bulletproof in Christ as another person? Does this mean I’ll never have to worry about shots from the enemy or people? These are all great questions. But the answer is not found in the two person gospel. It’s not a part of our current desensitization to the person of Christ gospel. There’s no formula or set of suitcase beliefs which can make us bulletproof. It’s not a special blessings you get from doing something in church or for others. The answer is very simple! It’s spiritual! It’s available! Let’s talk about it…..

This week we are going to talk a little about “why is His Son crying, Abba Father”? Also, are we adopted or birthed by God? Do we have His divine nature? What did Paul mean when he said “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child…”? What or how does this fit in union, oneness and identity? Most of us have been taught so many things concerning who we are In-Christ by religion. If they didn’t start with the revelation of Christ from the mystery, it is highly possible you were hearing another gospel. Simply put, it is their illusion of explanatory depth from the two-person gospel! –

The Two Person Gospel

Our Father has been providing us more revelation and insight into the “Two Person Gospel”. And, as we get closer to our time of fellowship, I want you to think about two questions. The first – we have been told our whole Christian life that we are a ‘new creation’. What does that mean? More importantly, who is the identity of that new creation? Second – we have also been taught that our old self has died with Christ. True, but then who lives? If we have been crucified with Christ, who is the identity of the one living? We so easily repeat these spiritual truths without understanding the impact of what we are saying. As many of us have been learning the past few months, this is called “the illusion of explanatory depth”. We view and understand everything through the lens of what we believe about our identity. The Church today lives in a complex delusion of Christ and me coexisting together in ‘our hearts’, but the real truth, the reality – is that our union and oneness with Christ has given us a new identity. I want to discuss with you the delusion of the ‘Two Person Gospel”. 
 
Please keep me and all of us in your prayers.That would include yourself as well. The Father is revealing the eternal place in the mystery of His Fatherhood and our identity in Son-ship. I’m trusting none of us won’t miss His fresh look into identity! And, as David would say, let’s talk about it!

 

Can a man become The Son as The Son became a man?

This week in Sunday Fellowship we will conclude with our message “Conception: The Power and strength of the Seed”. I’ve had several discussions concerning the height, depth, and breadth of the subject this past week. It was a joy and blessing for me to hear and see what our Father is teaching and revealing in His revelation of the mystery in-Christ! But at the same time, I have also come to see and hear the power of desensitization to the person of Christ. You would think a subject on “Conception: The Power and strength of the Seed” would bring overwhelming joy and liberty in our union, oneness, and Identity as Sons birthed by the Father. Sadly not everyone can receive or believe in the power and strength of The Seed! But why not? Simple, desensitization and the two-person gospel!

Many of us have read our Bibles for years and have never come to the on-going knowledge of the truth that is in Christ. The mystery. And, the revelation of that mystery. Why? Because far too many of us are as Paul says are “ever learning, and never able come to the knowledge of the truth”. Who or what has hindered so many of us? Maybe It’s our identity. No, not our identity which is given to us by the Seed of God The Father. Multitudes are stuck and bound by the identity given to us by the corruptible seed of an earthly father! We just don’t realize the power and strength of this seed and the way it affects and controls how we think, the way we feel and what we believe every breathing moment. For the past several months our Father has revealed the body-soul (box-suitcase) IOU of our old man. Followed by our IOU in Christ the new man (birthed as another person before God the Father). And yet, I perceive many may have been hindered because they have heard it once or twice. Sadly, this leads to the “the illusion of explanatory depth”. This will always lead to confusion and confirmation bias! This verse came to mind while talking with our Father about this message.

Furthermore, then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, [so] ye would abound more and more. 1Th 4:1

So, today we will conclude our talk concerning the foundation for freedom or captivity of our IOU’s, in The Seed!
